The Small Kings

  • Finger Lakes Cider House 4017 Hickok Rd Interlaken, NY, 14847 (map)

The Small Kings (mostly originals)
Performing around upstate NY and the Fingerlakes for 20 years -  the chemistry, passion, and joy we feel in sharing our music is always given to our listeners. We play mostly original songs that are a unique blend of rock, reggae, funk and improv with rich vocal harmonies. In recent years we've played the Fingerlakes Grassroots Festival, Taughannock Park Concert Series, Sterling Stage, and a multitude of clubs, wineries and breweries in the area.  Our sets often feature Jon Petronzio (John Brown's Body, Roadman) on keyboard.  In 2021, The Small Kings added Khris Oursler (The Blind Spots) on bass guitar and are currently writing new material.

You can hear our latest record, Into Gravity, on Spotify or Bandcamp

"A longtime local favorite, The Small Kings have truly hit their technical stride in the last few years. Expect some catchy, danceable tunes with an occasional foray into extremely spacey passages that will leave you slack-jawed."
--Nick Reynolds, Ithaca Times

"The Small Kings are like the Bare Naked Beatles of Ithaca!
This band is Serious about their Fun… and they just keep getting better!  I love that The Small Kings have the confidence to be playful, lyrical, quirky, and deliver it all with their own Penny Lane, ironic style!"

- Joe Crookston, Singer/Songwriter

"Outstanding songwriting and soaring harmonies make the Small Kings the best kept secret in Ithaca."
- Dan Cole, WVBR
